At 56, I have been in the trucking industry since I was 12.
Known the highs and lows of this industry, from the joy of seeing new places to the stress of tight deadlines and difficult weather conditions.
Of course, there are also the many challenges that come with being a truck driver and one of those challenges is unhooking from your trailer.
After severing my rotator cuff, it was during my recovery period I came up with this design.
A design that was simple, easy to use, and required minimal effort. Our fifth wheel pin puller is made out of durable, tubular polyester webbing and has a hook that is made out of aircraft aluminum that easily slides over any standard fifth wheel release lever. Once in place, you simply pull and the jaws open releasing the trailer kingpin.
Not only is it great for those with physical limitations, but it’s also perfect for anyone looking for a quick and easy way to disconnect their trailer. No more struggling with awkward positions (half fenders) to release the fifth wheel.
Our pin puller is compatible with Holland, Fontaine and some of the newer Jost fifth wheels , making it a versatile tool for any truck driver. It’s lightweight, compact and can easily fit in your toolbox or storage compartment.
